Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

 

We are seeking a highly skilled D365 Data Migration Specialist to support our enterprise migration project. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing data migration strategies for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), D365 data management, and optionally KingswaySoft for ETL processes.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead the data migration process from legacy systems into D365 Finance & Operations, ensuring high data integrity and accuracy.
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using SSIS, with optional use of KingswaySoft for advanced data transformation.
  • Analyze source data and define data mappings, transformations, and cleansing strategies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and functional teams to understand migration requirements and business rules.
  • Validate and troubleshoot migrated data to ensure smooth integration with D365 F&O modules.
  • Develop data validation scripts and reconciliation reports to ensure successful migration outcomes.
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices on data loading and performance tuning.
  • Assist in post-migration support, ensuring data consistency and resolving issues in D365 F&O.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for Dynamics 365 modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Engagement, etc.).

SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGPCo Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
  • Participate in job site safety and hazard analysis.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development.
  • Proven expertise in D365 Finance & Operations data migration and data management framework.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Experience with data mapping, cleansing, and validation methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

NOT REQUIRED BUT A PLUS:

  • Experience working with KingswaySoft for data integration into D365 F&O.
  • Understanding of Azure Data Services, Power Platform, or other Microsoft integration tools.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance best practices.
  • Release management experience with D365 F&O

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short communications, and memos; draft simple written correspondence; and effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
  • The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
