Responsibilities

SUMMARY

The IT Development Engagement Manager role will work to act as an initial point of contact for new development and for outbound communication from the development team. The IT Development Engagement Manager will create, execute against, and triage work items within agile development management systems and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure remediation of issues and delivery of enhancements.    

 

Strategy & Planning

  • Partner with internal and external customers to ensure web app issues and enhancements are understood and solve customers’ business problems
  • Facilitate and deliver level of effort (LOE) estimates
  • Become a subject matter expert regarding company web applications
  • Systematically gather feedback from users and utilize it for backlog management
  • Assist in writing user stories, creating work items, and translating requirements documents that clearly outline the benefits
  • Create and curate right-sized developer and user documentation
  • Own the process for planning, creating, and managing incoming issues and enhancements for web systems
  • Manage workload and backlog items while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction with the delivery of features, enhancements, implementations and technical services
  • Identify opportunities that increase value of web systems, establishing long-term partnerships
  • Facilitate a process for managing internal and external customer escalations
  • Build and nurture relationships with multiple stakeholders to solidify partnerships with the web team
  • Solve problems with curiosity and creativity; embrace challenges and change
  • Build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues
  • Monitor customer sentiment regarding customer technology solutions
  • Resolve complex customer inquiries by providing them with the right resources and information
  • Additional duties may include project management and business analysis tasks
  • Perform reviews of team procedures to continuously improve processes
  • Work to raise software and infrastructure quality and reduce timelines
  • Complete analysis and research and integrate best practices
  • Manage schedule for periodic web system patching and updates

 

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application
  • Coordinate with cloud engineers to schedule successful provisioning of cloud resources
  • Develop program and system documentation
  • Research and recommend practices for managing the web software lifecycle

 

SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGPCo Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.

 

Participate in job site safety and hazard analysis.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Four-year college diploma, two-year degree, or university degree in computer systems design, computer science, or related field

 

3-5 years direct experience working with web systems

  • History of consistently meeting deliverable dates
  • Excellent technical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Strong knowledge of development and software quality assurance best practices
  • Understanding of agile methodologies is critical
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude
  • Ability to implement security practices that align with industry and regulatory requirements
  • Project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures
  • Ability to quickly understand an organization’s goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Ability to step in when needed and code/debug front end code
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience as Site Admin for JIRA Service Desk application and creating integrations from JSD to other apps

  • Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
  • The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
