Responsibilities

SUMMARY

 

Responsible for the management of pricing and item attributes for named accounts.  Actively participates in the RFP process for new and existing business cases and participates in the implementation and on-going price and attribute management. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage named accounts by implementing new business, cost improvements, providing quote support and ensure the proper management of price and item attributes.
  • Review supplier cost changes against items managed in Sales Prices and work with Proposal Teams to implement necessary changes.
  • Analyze margin holds related to items managed in Sales Prices for Proposal Teams and determine necessary action required.
  • Work with numerous departments within KGP to meet and exceed customer expectations.  This includes assisting with vendor and purchase order issues, customer pricing contracts, service requests, and product management/sourcing.
  • Partner with Sourcing Managers in order to provide requirements related to customer contract pricing terms and conditions.
  • Ownership of pricing for named accounts, which includes rebate administration, assisting with supplier negotiations and management of margin and/or mark-ups.
  • Responsible for the customer sync processes.
  • Utilizes advanced Excel skills and conducts data analysis.
  • Performs other duties as requested by management.

  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGPCo Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
  • Participate in job site safety and hazard analysis.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short communications, and memos; draft simple written correspondence; and effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
  • The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
